Taking in the farm babies

We took our babies to see the farm babies at the Minnesota Zoo, and they were a hit!

Watching the black lambs prance around was hysterical. It's almost as if they defy gravity.

The goats were Janie's favorite. It costs just 50 cents to feed them -- a memorable experience for a toddler.

We all enjoyed seeing the calves and hearing Ted's stories about feeding calves in Iowa as a boy. #farmboysmakegreatdads

This Brown Swiss, Grande, was born March 26. Archie has three weeks on him but can't come close to guzzling as much milk as Grande did in the blink of an eye.

"Imagine how long it would take to pump that much milk!" the mom next to me said.

The entire farm babies exhibit is a lively scene -- a village unto itself tucked behind the zoo's carousel.

The exhibit ends April 30. It's a beautiful and fragrant time to swing by!
