Archie at 2 months

Archie is two months old today! It feels like he reached that milestone more quickly than either of the girls.

He is such a sweet baby, full of smiles that utterly disarm.

He's a "chub," as my grandpa so amusingly (and aptly) put it at Archie's baptism party. He clocks in at a whopping 14 lbs. 12 oz., which puts him in the 98th percentile -- and means he and Jane can share diapers.

I have never seen a baby arrive so big and then pack on the pounds so readily. It's nice, I suppose. He doesn't feel quite as fragile as Jane did. And he certainly appears healthy.

He's sleeping better -- I'm getting occasional 5-hour stretches at night, which do wonders for me.

Thankfully, he's very tolerant of his boisterous big sisters.

He actually seems comforted by their sight and sounds.

I'll never forget observing this the moment they met. Two hours after his birth, the girls stormed into the hospital room, and Archie leaned forward and cooed. He was trying to talk to the sisters he had heard in utero the past nine months. He appeared consoled by their presence.

He's a great sport with their squawks and squeezes.

And styling.

They're good to him too.

The other night while we were watching Moana, I looked down and saw Jane holding Archie's hand.

Maria provides him with an endless narrative.

And she's there to build forts whenever he may be in need.

Of course, sometimes he does feel inclined to hole up and hibernate. #cannotblamehim

At Mass, Archie is our best behaved.

Here he is on Easter Sunday, snoozing during the homily. #cannotblamehim

He is the perfect addition to our little family. He fits right in.

He's picnicked with us.

And last week he partied with us at "Family Fun Night" at church. #crowdedphotobooth

It's not easy juggling three little ones, but even in my sleep-deprived state, I feel abundantly grateful that Archie is ours.
